Permission letter
Dear English 102 class, this semester we are to write a paper on a subculture of our choosing. In order to not offend anyone, I must ask your permission to write about my subculture. I believe the best topic that I can educate you is something that I am very familiar with, but also still learning about. As some of you already know I am currently in the Air Force National Guard, I go one weekend a month for drill, and go on TDY ( temporary duty missions) a few times a year. I am a Airman First Class, which is the second lowest rank, so I am still learning about it too, which is why I decided to choose the Air Force as my subculture. In my paper I am going to explain the rank structure, the history of the Air Force, what we do, and why I joined. In doing this it will not just help educate you about the Air Force, it will also help me with my CDC ( career development course) testing that I need to rank up. I thank you for your time and I hope you all enjoy my paper.
Cory,
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a great topic and i am looking forward to hear more about what you do and why you joined. My brother is in the air force so this topic is something i feel strongly about and i would like to know more because i also want to join once i get my associates. Just remember to stay very detailed for everyone who knows nothing about the Ari Force.

Are you doing the whole branch of the Air Force or just your specific group the group of individuals that you go to drill with and all that. I do not understand all the Guard stuff so that may make not sense. Good job with putting the ()'s with the meaning of the words otherwise I would have been lost.
