paper progression

The Security Forces Squadron building resembles that of a police station, because of the fact that it basically is a police station. When you first walk in is the guard mount room, this is where we conduct guard mount. Next the armory is on the right, down the hall is the locker room, the offices, then the class room. When I get my gear on I go to the armory and get my M4 carbine, after everyone has their gear on and is armed up it is time for guard mount. Guard mount is where we all get called to formation, take roll call, and the higher ups give assign us to our posts, the post will either be patrol, gate, or flight line. After we are assigned our posts, our commander Major Brick informs us on the goals that we are to accomplish before the end of drill weekend like appointments, and urinalysis tests. The last thing that guard mount consists of is the safety briefing, which is basically what we can and cannot do while on duty.

  1. I am glad the service is something you enjoy because someone has to do it. I do not think that I am one that has no desire. Guard mount in a way sounds fun. How often is Guard? I have some friends that I think go once a month. Is that right? As I was reading I was hoping you would explain what guard mount was because I was because I was wondering if guard mount was the same as drill? Am I right on thinking that they are the same thing? If they are then I have a better understanding of guard mount because friends have told me about drill and the different things that they have to do.
